The Overhead Door Company of Cortland™, is a fourth-generation family business owned and operated by the Marsted Family. The Marsted family has been in the Garage Door business since 1924 when George Marsted founded an Overhead Door manufacturing plant in Canastota, NY. The family now operates three locations: Overhead Door Company of Binghamton™, Overhead Door Company of Cortland™, and Overhead Door Company of Greater Syracuse™.

Josh oversees all divisions of the Overhead Door Company of Cortland, Inc. He also handles the commercial/industrial estimating and bidding for the Cortland office. Josh has been with the company since 1999.
Gregory Marsted
Senior Vice-President & Estimator
Greg handles all of the residential and light commercial estimating for the Cortland office. Greg is the fourth generation of his family to be involved in the garage door business.

When you call our company you’re likely to get Kacie on the other end of the line. Kacie is the fifth generation of her family in the garage door business. Kacie’s great-great grandfather started in the garage door business in 1924. Kacie started full-time with the company in 2014.

Roland-also known as “Junior”-has been a valued member of our team since 1985. He is our most senior technician. Throughout his career, Roland has “done it all” including commercial/industrial installations, residential installations, and repairs of all sorts.

Chris is usually found doing repairs and garage door opener installations across our entire service area. Chris has been a valued member of our team since 2015. Chris has been designated as a Certified Residential Installer by the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA). IDEA Residential Installer Certification is available to individuals who can document training and demonstrate a high degree of knowledge and expertise in the installation and service of residential garage door systems. Candidates must pass a comprehensive written examination covering all aspects of garage door installation, including safety features required in all new garage door installations.

John Henry was born into the garage door business. Both his parents are active in the company and John is a fifth-generation door man. John’s great-great grandfather started in the garage door business in 1924. John started full-time with the company in 2016.
